Louis Vuitton - NY Window Display

Louis Vuitton's Window display (top) caught my eye when visiting New York as the display incorporated animals such as giraffes, owls, frogs and other creatures to display products of the season, like no other competitor. The animal theme has continued through their window displays again in New York and in Paris using exotic feathered or printed animals to shows the brands wealth and luxury. The Zebra displayed in Paris' flagship store illustrates their key tribal trend of the spring/summer collection.

ABC Home

ABC Home was a unique store that we visited on Broadway on our travels to New York. It was like no other store that I had been into before as it offered  a choice of cutting edge designs, all uniquely created for your home as an expression of your vision and values. Vintage antiques filled the store from all over the the to almost create a jumble sale vibe. The Sale sign truly reflected the stores artistic flare as it had been graffiti on to create a personal artistic feel, welcoming customers into store. There was also a room in the store where ABC Home products were on display in a minimalistic room setting to create a display room feel.

Adventure to The Big Apple

On the early morning of the 5th Jan, FMB made the long journey to New York from Heathrow. Once we arrived in New York, you could could feel the cold air rush to you, once you stepped out the door of GFK. We then made the journey to our accomodation, Hotel Bedford! How ironic!?
The first place we visted in NY was the Rockerfella Centre. To our suprise the iconic christmas tree was still standing and lit up for the last night. This happily brought back memories of the film Home Alone 2 that I had previously watched before christmas.Times Square was also an Iconic place which we visited on the first night in New York. Like no other place Time Square is bombarded with gigantic scale lig up advertisiments that immediately grabs your attention. It's almost as each ad is fighting for the lime light! A promtional aspect that completely stood out to me was the Forever 21 Interactive screen, where they video passers by outside the store.

NYC - JAN 2011

Okay, so officially thirteen days till I will be on my way to the big Apple...I can't contain my excitement!!... I have been watching some films to get myself in the Christmas spirit and to my surprise they have shown places in New York where I will be visiting! My personal favs, Miracle on 34th Street and Home Alone 2 show Central Park and the Rockefeller Centre in true Christmas spirit.

White Christmas

Finally I think we're going to see a picturesque white christmas, as most of the country has been covered with a blanket of snow! However everyone seems to be moaning about the snow and ice, quite funny really as almost every year each of us are disappointed waking up on christmas morning to groggy wet weather...not the perfect christmas scene atall! Be Festive and enjoy the snow!
